Easy Access to Accurate Answers
Through a simple blood draw, the PrecivityAD2™ test determines your likelihood (positive or negative) for the presence of amyloid plaques in the brain, one of the brain pathology findings of Alzheimer’s disease.
How it Works
Step 1
Your healthcare provider
orders the PrecivityAD2™
test and
schedules a
blood draw
appointment
Step 2
Your blood sample is sent to the C₂N laboratory for analysis
Step 3
Your healthcare provider
receives the
PrecivityAD2™
test report and
discusses
results with you
How the Blood Sample is Analyzed
C₂N Diagnostics uses highly sensitive and specialized laboratory technologies to identify and detect certain amyloid beta (Aß) and tau protein fragments, called peptides, that are circulating in the blood and that are known to be associated with presence of brain amyloid plaques. The main test result is a score, called the Amyloid Probability Score 2 (APS2).
How Results are Reported
A report is sent to your ordering healthcare provider. Your provider interprets the positive or negative test result along with other medical information about you. Your provider then discusses the results with you along with next steps in your care and management.
